| TESTIMONIALS

Josh | Supervisor

Tom Kaczkowski is a truly remarkable leader and a true mensch. His influence has had a lasting impact on everyone he works with. His leadership is not just about direction but about empowering others to grow and succeed. Tom’s sincere and motivational approach inspires those around him to push beyond their limits, and his integrity sets a standard that everyone strives to meet. He leads with authenticity, kindness, and a commitment to excellence, making him an invaluable asset to any team or organization.

Andy | Operations Manager

I first met Tom Kaczkowski (Kaz) about 12 years ago when he was introduced as the new president of the company I work for. At the time he came on board as the president, the company had horrible morale issues. We were losing long-term employees with a lot of knowledge of the business and employee retention was at an all-time low. Tom was introduced as an ex-college football coach and had no real background in the business. So of course, my first thought was this was going to be a disaster.  What I quickly learned was that Tom was a master at understanding people, and he knew how to put the right people in the right positions to make the company succeed. Tom took the time to be there early in the morning to greet guys as they arrived and asked them about their families and interests.  He would attend some of the employees’ kid’s events and show real interest in their lives. As I was later promoted to Manager of operations he would go on to explain that he was interested in these events but was more interested in how the employee handled the family and social events. Explaining who you are outside of work is the person you are. He often mentioned the book (You win with people by Woody Hayes). What I found out was that when he knew the employees he could then place them in the right positions based not just on technical skills but their overall standards. The next 10 years working with Tom were the absolute best ten years of my 22 years with the company. Employee retention, I would say, was at an all-time high, sales goals were hit every year. His “You win with people” approach on running a business made believers of the employees. And once they were believers it was a profitable and great place to work. Till the day Tom left the company he still had very little knowledge of the technical side of our work, but he knew a lot about people and company organization that would allow everyone to be successful, from the employee to the owners.

Art | Operations Supervisor

I had the pleasure of working with Tom for 10 years. It was apparent very quickly that he was a great leader and talented team builder. He took a team of individuals that were, quite frankly, in disarray and had lost our direction. We needed someone with a vision to bring us together. That person was Tom Kaczkowski.

Tom taught us how to work as a team. More importantly, how to teach and motivate those that we manage or supervise to work towards a common goal.

I am fortunate to have worked alongside Tom for as long as I did. He is as good a person as he is a leader.

Bradley | Sales Manager

I had the privilege of working under Tom Kaczkowski for over six years, and he remains the most impactful leader I have ever had. He made it easy to see and believe in his vision for the company, while also helping me clearly understand my role within that vision. His consistent belief in me inspired both personal and professional growth, and with his guidance I was able to advance within the company while surpassing goals and setting new sales records year after year. What stood out most was his ability to motivate and energize those around him - he created an environment where success was not only possible but exciting to achieve. His leadership transformed the workplace into a place of purpose and inspiration.

Eric | Dean of Students

I am proud to say that I have personally known Tom Kaczkowski for nearly 25 years. Honored to call him my friend, lucky to be able to have learned priceless life and business lessons from him. Tom has the unique ability to lead organizations and bring them to levels of success unattainable without his guidance. He brings clear, concise leadership while obtaining maximum buy in due to his honesty and lead by example style. Tom allows individuals to learn and grow while still focusing on the organizational standards and goals. Thoughtful, caring and always family based; Tom brings real values and work ethics to every endeavor. If you want to be successful, then having Tom on your team is a must.

Evan | Operations Supervisor

Working with Tom Kaczkowski has been such a rewarding experience. Not only is he incredibly skilled and dedicated, but he genuinely believes that people are the key to building a successful business—and he leads with that mindset every day. As a mentor, he’s always taken the time to guide and encourage me, and as a manager, he truly cares about the people on his team. His ability to balance high standards with empathy and encouragement always stood out. I am a better leader and a better person thanks to Tom's leadership.

Jill | Operations Support Manager

Working with Tom was a game changer for our company. His understanding of how organizations work and his ability to help managers hone their leadership skills was the spark we needed to create much needed change. Tom’s ability to explain concepts in a simple manner with relatable, funny, and memorable examples was exactly what our team needed to be able to understand and apply those concepts. Under Tom’s guidance, our team was finally able to communicate openly and work as one to make progress towards the goals we had set together.

Kassandra | Facilities Manager

I am only one example of Tom’s ability to empower individuals and teams to reach their full potential. He took the time to understand each person’s strengths and weaknesses to determine where we all fit into the puzzle to create a strong, effective team. Tom’s understanding of organizational structure and teamwork took our team to a new level that operates with open communication, trust, respect and care.

Kory | Head Football Coach

I was a college senior in 1999. Tom Kaczkowski and his coaching staff had been assembling a winning team and building a strong culture for years. There was a sense that in the fall of 1999 all the work would begin to pay off. And pay off it did. In the 120 year plus history of the school no football team found as much success as we did that year. We set a school record for wins, recorded our first two national playoff victories and finished the season ranked #5 in the nation.

Individual honors started rolling in for Coach Kaz and his players. I was fortunate enough to be named a first team All-American. I ended my career as the most decorated offensive lineman in school history. This, however, is all trivial compared to the highest honor I received. I was named a Captain by my peers. On the plaque that still sits in my office today it reads “Leadership is Action… Not Position.” Being named Captain was an award at the end of the season, not an honor bestowed before the journey began.

These words have stuck with me throughout the years. It was part of Tom’s culture building. He enabled leaders to grow and taught them along the way. At the end, nobody needed to ask who the captains were… everyone knew.

Tom’s ability to inspire, educate, uplift and challenge his players was pivotal in our program’s success. This is not to say that it didn’t come without tough love. Tom had a style that made you want to build a wall for him and then run right through it on game-day.

This leadership style is applicable in business as well as sports. I am now a head football coach and whenever I need advice on a tough situation, Tom is where I turn. Managing and inspiring people is what he does, and he does it well!
